This map was made for the Darkest Hour mod and is based heavily on recreating the real battle at Brecourt in detail.  The base terrain of the map was first started by a mapper in the DH team called, but was completed by myself.  I really wanted to get a feel of the french country by getting the lighting right for that day and the overall look of the vegetation spot on.  The Darkest Hour team was dedicated to getting scenarios historically correct as possible so each level designer was given a historian/researcher that would collect as much material about that level as possible.
