Roter Boden that translates into Red Soil in English is a map that was heavily inspired by trench warfare and close combat of the first world war.  As i produced this map at the same time as Tripwire Interactive setup a Red Orchestra mapping competition.  I spent a number of months working on this level, building AI paths, fine tuning the design and feel of the level that was required for the mapping competition.  My level was included in the competition map pack that was released after the competition had finished and was played on Red Orchestra servers.

The two different versions have changes of gameplay so i decided to keep the original v1.0  and the changed v2.1 as separate downloads.
